Do I need a credit card to start the trial?+
No. Sign up at merritt-ai.com/get-started — we provision your AI phone number and portal in five minutes. We invoice you after the 30-day trial only if you want to keep the service.
What happens after the trial?+
You get your first invoice on day 30. Pay it however you want — Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or ask for a Stripe link. If you don't want to continue, ignore the invoice; we cancel after 14 days.
Is the $297/month flat, or per user?+
Flat per business location. Add as many techs, services, and customers as you want — pricing doesn't change.
Do I have to switch off Jobber / Housecall Pro / ServiceTitan?+
No. Merritt AI plugs into your existing CRM. We push AI-booked jobs into Jobber automatically (Housecall Pro coming soon). Your existing system stays the system of record.
What if my Google Calendar isn't connected?+
Voice booking still works — the AI uses default business hours and your portal calendar. Connect Google Calendar in 30 seconds for live two-way sync.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Email [email protected] or text your business number with 'cancel.' No contracts, no early termination fees, no win-back calls.
What about call recording and privacy?+
Calls handled by the AI follow standard two-party-consent rules — the AI announces it's an automated assistant. Recordings are stored in Vapi (our voice provider) under your business's account. See our privacy policy for full data handling.
Are there extra usage charges?+
Twilio voice and SMS pass-through costs are included up to typical small-business volumes (~500 calls/month, ~2000 SMS/month). Above that we pass through actual carrier costs at cost.
